Welcome to the Ferme de l’Airbois
An out of the way property, in the Haute-Meuse, near Dinant.
Eroded by the Bocq and the Meuse rivers, the escarpment of l’Airbois dominates the view of the valley , and France is visible forty kilometers away. This ancient site, known since the Neolithic era, is marked by a panorama symbol on Michelin maps. At the summit, pastures and woods are a backdrop to the three buildings of blond sandstone that make up this isolated farm. Horses and cattle graze in its surroundings. A long sunken path leads to it.
The property is part of a network of voluntary natural reserves. The vegetable garden is organic and the orchards have never been treated. A flowering meadow surrounds two lagoons, a natural pond, and a centuries-old oak tree. Berry trees attract birds. The hedges are pruned only after the nesting season.
For you, Marie-Christine and Alain Crespeigne have transformed the farmhouse and stables into two charming and comfortable guest houses.. They have decorated the kitchens and bathrooms with their hand-painted glazed tiles. . In their own home, the barn, they welcome you in two guest rooms with character. The swimming pool is at your disposal. The farm has been awarded a “4 epis” label of quality. The choices of paint and wallpaper, of fabric and building materials are exquisite and refined. Furnishings, both antique and family style, give the rooms a warm feeling that is keeping with the welcome you will receive, in your own language if possible, from your hosts.
You are in the Condroz. The Ardennes are very close.
